Work orders, vendors & quotes

When a vendor answers: opened, replies, Waiting on you

See when the vendor opened their link, get their answers by email or push, and keep their questions from going unanswered.

  1. 1

On the work order card, the vendor's line says Opened the link once they have opened it in a browser, or Not opened yet a day after it reached them. The job's panel shows when they first opened it and when they last looked. Mail scanners and your own previews are not counted.

  2. 2

If a job reached its vendor a day ago and nobody opened it, whoever raised the job gets one email (and a push, if turned on) during working hours, once per job and vendor. Call them, send the link again, or reassign it.

  3. 3

When the vendor accepts, gives a date or writes a note, whoever raised the job gets an email (at most one per job every 15 minutes) and a push if Vendor replied is on under Settings → Notifications.

  4. 4

A note that asks something puts the job on Waiting on you: the card says so, and the Waiting on you filter at the top of Work orders lists every one. Reply in the job's reply box and it clears; if you settled it by phone, press Answered.

  5. 5

Each vendor also has one page with every job they have open with you, linked from each job's page and from the dispatch email when they have more than one.

If a vendor's email address is on your own company's domain, the job's panel suggests inviting them as a teammate, so their jobs land in their own app instead of a link per job.
