What does a punch list look like?

A punch list is a numbered list of the items left to fix before a job is handed over, each with a location, a trade, a photo and a status, usually walked room by room near substantial completion. In Sitesui it is a checklist walk whose Poor items become the list, each with its photo and the sub it went to.

How it works

  • Walk outside in: exterior, then each room, then mechanical and electrical, so nothing is missed twice.
  • One open item is one line: where it is, which trade owns it, a photo, and a one-line note a sub can act on.
  • Rate the item Poor; the report lists every open item with its photo, and each can go to the sub as a work order.
  • At the handover walk, the homeowner signs on the phone and the PDF shows what was closed and what is still open.
  • Print the free punch list template as a PDF or CSV if you want paper first.

What it doesn't do

  • The template is a general residential punch list; a commercial or trade-specific list is yours to edit.
  • Sitesui does not draw the item on a floor plan.

Which plan

Free

The template is free to print and free to walk; Pro at $19/month is for builders running several jobs at once.
