What is the best punch list app?

For a builder or super who walks the job with a phone and needs each item to reach the right sub with a photo and come back closed, a phone-first app with work orders is the fit, and Sitesui is built for that walk. If your punch items have to live on the drawings or inside a full project-management platform, Fieldwire, Procore or Buildertrend is the better pick, because Sitesui does not pin items to plan sheets.

How it works

  • Walk the job with the built-in punch list template (36 templates ship, including pre-drywall, final walkthrough and 11-month warranty); it runs in the phone's browser, iPhone or Android, and keeps working offline in a basement.
  • Each item gets a photo, a room and a rating; rate it Poor and it becomes a work order to the sub's trade with the photo attached.
  • The sub answers from a link with no login: accepts, gives a date, or marks it done with an after photo.
  • The homeowner signs the final walkthrough on the phone, and the PDF lists every item, its photos and what is still open.
  • On a re-walk, the re-inspection template checks only the items that were open.

What it doesn't do

  • Sitesui does not pin punch items to drawings or plan sheets; Fieldwire and Procore do.
  • It is not a construction project-management platform: no schedules, RFIs, submittals, budgets or change orders.
  • There is no app-store download; it installs to the phone's home screen from the browser.
