Checklist · Builder / contractor
Final walkthrough checklist
Orientation, finish review, and the signature that closes it. The final walkthrough is two meetings in one: teaching the homeowner their house — the shut-offs, the panel, the filters — and agreeing on what is done and what is still open. This is the built-in final-walkthrough template, ending in a sign-off both sides keep.
15 items in 8 areas · the built-in “Final walkthrough with homeowner” template, as it ships
How to run it
Three passes, in walking order
Orientation first
Water and gas shut-offs, the electrical panel, HVAC filters and thermostat, water heater, GFCI resets, warranties and manuals. They will not remember it; the report will.
Finish review, room by room
Walk the punch list's closed items and look for new ones; rate what you find; agree on what is open and when.
Documents and sign-off
Keys, remotes, codes, certificate of occupancy, warranty terms. Both sign; in the app the signature is on the phone or by link and the PDF goes to them.

In the app an item can also answer as pass/fail, done/not done or a number, and any Fair or Poor item becomes a work order in one tap. The PDF prints the checklist as shown, with a notes line per item and a signature block.
When not to use it
- — The trade-by-trade defect walk before this meeting — use the punch-list template.
- — The eleven-month warranty visit — its own template.
What goes wrong
- — Skipping orientation to get to the punch items.
- — No photo of the meter and panel on the day.
What this is not
The builder's record of the meeting. What a sign-off means for warranty or acceptance is set by the contract and the law, not by this checklist.
The finished report
Complete the walk and the PDF exists
Every item with its rating, notes and photos; an action-items table by priority; signatures captured on the phone or through a link. No export step. See a finished one before you sign up.

Questions
Final walkthrough: what people ask
What if we find open items?
They are listed on the report with a date. Each becomes a work order to the trade; the warranty walk at eleven months checks them again.
Does the sign-off waive anything?
That is a matter for your contract and your state's new-home warranty law, not the checklist. The report records what was seen and agreed on the day.
Can I brand the report?
Yes — your logo, colours and contact details on every page, on paid plans.
