When…

A slip-and-fall claim just came in

A manager reading a letter about a fall on the front steps last month, trying to remember when anyone last looked at those steps.

What goes wrong

  • The only record of the steps is someone saying they walk past every day.
  • There are photos, but on a phone, with no date anyone trusts.
  • The repair that was ordered cannot be shown as done.

What to do now

  1. 1

Open the property's inspections: each walk shows the area's rating, the photo and the time it was taken.

  2. 2

Open the property's work orders: what was found, when it was sent, and the completion photo.

  3. 3

Export the walks as PDFs and the work-order history as CSV for your insurer and your attorney.

  4. 4

From now on, walk the area on a cadence; a hazard rated Poor becomes a work order with a photo the day it is found.

What they end up holding

Your insurer and attorney get dated records of when the area was walked and what was done about it; what those records mean for the claim is theirs to judge.

Which plan

Work orders and recurring walks are Pro at $19/month.
