Vendor quotes and price approvals on work orders
Know the price before the work starts. The vendor on a work order can send a price from their link, and over an amount you set the order waits for your approval before work starts.
How it works
A price from the vendor's link
No vendor account or app; the quote comes back on the same thread as the job.
Approval above your amount
Over the amount you set, the order waits for you before work starts.
Vendors see only their own job
Other vendors' quotes and what you bill the owner are never on a vendor's page or in their email.
Who uses it
What it does not do today
- One job cannot be sent to several vendors to compare their prices side by side.
- Sitesui records the price and the approval; it does not choose, invoice or pay the vendor for you.
The limits are stated so the rest can be believed. When one changes, the changelog says so.
Questions people ask
- Can I request and compare quotes from vendors?
Partly: the vendor on a work order can send a price from their link, and over an amount you set the order waits for your approval before work starts. There is no way to send one job to several vendors and compare their prices side by side.
- Can vendors see what I charge the owner, or other vendors' prices?
No — a vendor sees only their own order: the job, the photos, the access notes and the price you put on it for them, if any. Quotes from other vendors and what you bill the owner are never on the vendor's page or in their email.
- What happens when a work order is overdue?
It turns red on the board, the vendor gets a reminder the day before the due date or their ETA, and the manager's Monday digest lists it; an overdue escalation email goes to the workspace when one has sat past its date. Nothing closes itself.
- How does vendor dispatch work — do vendors need an account?
No account: the vendor gets an email with a link to the order — photos, address, access notes, the ask — and answers from that link: accept, an ETA, a price, done with photos. Everything they say lands on the order.
