Store visit checklist for retail store walks

One store walk, the same way at every store. A store walk is the routine condition check a district or regional manager runs at each location on a cadence — monthly, quarterly, whatever the program says. What matters is that store #14 and store #212 get the same items in the same order, so the roll-up means something. This is Sitesui's Commercial property template, the one the multi-site coverage page is built around.

15 items in 4 areas · the built-in “Commercial property” template, as it ships

How to run it

Three passes, in walking order

1

Start outside

Roof line, facade and signage, parking lot and striping, exterior lighting — the things a customer sees before the door.

2

Then the customer's path

Entrance, elevators where there are any, restrooms, corridors and stairwells. Rate, photograph, note.

3

Finish with systems and safety

Rooftop units, panels, water heaters, sprinklers; then extinguishers, exit signage and accessibility. Anything Poor becomes a work order with the store number on it.

In the app an item can also answer as pass/fail, done/not done or a number, and any Fair or Poor item becomes a work order in one tap. The PDF prints the checklist as shown, with a notes line per item and a signature block.

Want a reminder to run it again?

The download needs no address. If you'd like one email on the day it's due again, leave it here; that's the only email unless you tick the box.

The finished report

Complete the walk and the PDF exists

Every item with its rating, notes and photos; an action-items table by priority; signatures captured on the phone or through a link. No export step. See a finished one before you sign up.

Built for facilities teams

Facilities / commercial

Monthly life-safety, PM rounds, HVAC and roof — with a paper trail that survives an audit.

Pick “Facilities / commercial” at signup — or start from this page and it's already picked — and the app leads with this template and speaks the trade's words.

Questions

Store walk: what people ask

How do I run this across a hundred stores?

Import the store list as a CSV with a store number and a region column; every store carries its number on the walk, the PDF and the export. The Coverage page then says which stores are current, due or overdue this quarter. The quarterly store walk program guide walks through the whole setup.

Can I prove the manager was actually at the store?

When Start is tapped on site, the phone's position is compared with the store's pin and the report cover reads On site, Near site or Off site with the distance. A desktop or a refused prompt starts the walk with no position, and the report says so.

Can I rename it “Store walk”?

Yes — duplicate the built-in in the template editor and name it whatever your program calls it. The app itself still says “property” and “building”; there is no retail vocabulary pack yet.
